Anarchy plane Find Airports Bookmarklet. On another useful note, David Megginson who is the blogger behind the Land and Hold Short blog, has written a very useful 0)window.open("http://www.ourairports.com/search?q="+escape(sel));undef’>bookmarklet that runs in a browser bookmark and can be used to find airports. After dragging it to your bookmark bar, you can highlight any text on the web page and click on it to open a new window or tab that will show the closest airports to the highlighted text.

Having a Flat Tire. Meanwhile, the blogger behind the Head in the Clouds blog has written about experiencing a flat tire on a recent landing (pictures are included). Luckily the plane wasn’t damaged and they were quickly able to get the tire changed.

Anarchists in the Air. On interesting note, Sulako who is a corporate pilot, happened to spot another corporate jet sporting an anarchy symbol and decided to snap a picture of it to post on his blog. It turned out that the jet belongs to the punk / pop band The Offspring and its flown by its lead singer / guitarist.

SkyCatcher Update. For those of you following Cessna’s SkyCatcher program, the AeroTrader Insider blog has picked up on news that Cessna has confirmed that they will test-fly a model sometime this year and make some deliveries by the end of this year.

Pet Airlines Takes Off. And finally, the world’s first Pet Airlines is taking off this month with several photos appearing on Yahoo News plus an article in the New York Times that describes how “unfriendly” the skies have become for pets as airlines seek to gain revenue any way they can. It will be interesting to see if the concept of a pet’ only airline can really take-off for the long-term.
