Concorde from the cockpit (video)

by Matthew Stibbe on April 6, 2009

I defy any pilot to watch these videos of the magnificent Concorde and a well-trained crew working together and not feel moved. I was lucky – I went on Concorde three times and they were among the high points of my life. “Speedbird Concorde 1” is a call sign we won’t hear again.

Concorde takeoff from Heathrow. Great shot of the visor retracting.

Acceleration through the sound barrier

Descent and landing into JFK

All British Airways pilots are called Roger. It just increases the Airplane-style humour. Roger roger! :-)
