The old E111 Form issued by Post Offices has been superceded.
The NHS is now issuing a credit card size plastic card containing the minimal information that used to be given on an A4 sheet of paper.
To apply for the new card on line go to www.dh.gov.uk/travellers. The card will should reach you by post within 3 days.
Alternatively, get an application form either by downloading it or from the Post Office, and apply by ‘snail mail’.
Many holiday insurance policies start from the premise that you have an E111 or equivalent and use that to deny payment of some holiday health bills. BEAT THEM TO IT!
