ReadyProcs review

by John on July 15, 2009

ReadyProcs As part of his series on Electronic Flight Bags and useful programs, John Ewing of Aviation Mentor has posted a thorough review about ReadyProcs – a program that keeps pilots flying across the pond up-to-date on current US Terminal Procedures (approach plates) and offers a paperless solution that runs on multiple platforms. As usual, John explains and shows readers how to download the software, install it and how it works.

According to him, ReadyProcs offers users a good bang for their buck and he has no complaints about. A trial version can be downloaded for free until the current charting cycle expires. Afterwards, a subscription costs US$6.95 per month or US$70 per year and there are no limitations on the number of volumes that can be downloaded or what computers it can be used on.

However, John has yet to try it out on a Kindle DX and he recalls past difficulties with using such a software on eBook platforms. Nevertheless, for anyone flying across the pond, ReadyProcs is definitely worth checking out.
