If you have not yet made any plans this weekend, there are a couple of air shows or air displays scheduled which can be enjoyed by both the pilot and non-pilot members of your family:
Informal Evening Air Display at Old Warden, Bedfordshire. The Shuttleworth Collection will host an evening air display starting at 6:15 pm. If you book online by 3 pm on Friday, you can save £5 per person. Otherwise, its £20 per person on the day at the gate.
The Whole Weekend
RAF Waddington International Airshow at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. The RAF’s largest air show of the year is regularly attended by over 125,000 visitors with support from all of the RAF display assets as well as the Royal Navy and Army. The ground displays will include 2 exhibition hangars, funfair, classic cars display, pleasure flying and much more while the spectacular 7-hour flying display will feature the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and many more military and civilian aircraft from around the UK and further afield.

Country Fair with Wings & Wheels at Heveningham Hall, Suffolk. Heveningham Hall is an 18th century estate in the heart of Suffolk. This year, the Heveningham Hall Country Fair is uniting with Halesworth Lions’ Wings and Wheels to create an action packed weekend with up to 100 light aircraft landing and taking off throughout both days. In addition, there will be Monster Trucks, a spectacular daredevil display from The Blades, food and craft hall, trade stands, a large display of vintage vehicles, dog show, animals, country pursuits and a 10km run on Sunday. For aviation buffs, the flying displays will be at 11 am and 4:30 pm on both days with the Battle of Britain Spitfire flypast scheduled for 2 pm Sunday. For ticket information, click here.
