What do you not miss about flying?

by John on October 31, 2009

For pilots, the thrill of taking to the sky can be both exhilarating and a pain at the same time. After all, there is all the preparation required to plan and execute even the simplest and shortest of flight plans.

Interestingly enough, Vincent, the blogger behind the Plastic Pilot blog, has not been flying recently in order to save money for his Flying Across America project. Hence, he has recently posted an entry on his blog listing what he does not miss about flying. Vincent’s list includes:

Towing and playing hangar Tetris
Short term flight cancellations
Weather suspense
No plane – no fun (in other words, no rental plane is available)
Staying current with regulations

Thus and its worth asking our readers: What is it that you do NOT miss about flying?

Definitely weather-watching! Ok that’s for the VFR pilots amongst us. But being so dependent on weather can sometimes takes the fun off travelling, when you’re constantly worried about the forecast the next day…
