Hat tip to David Parker Brown for posting this awesome time-lapsed San Francisco to Paris video that shows the entire flight complete with northern lights. To film it, Nate Bolt created a really cool camera set up (he includes pictures of the setup at the end of the video) on the Airbus A340 that would allow him to take a photo about once every two minutes (but not during takeoff and landing as those pictures were rendered with computer models).
Specifically, he shot the photos with an 5d2, a time-lapse controller and a 16mm – 35mm plus he used a few shots from his iPhone. All told, he took 2,459 photos over a distance of 5,576 miles with the complete support of the Air France crew.
